Lookman joins Aina at Fulham

NIGERIAN forward Ademola Lookman has joined Premier League club Fulham on loan from Germany’s RB Leipzig.

London-born Lookman will be teaming up with fellow Nigerian Ola Aina, who is also on loan at Fulham from Torino.

“The Club is delighted to announce the signing of Ademola Lookman on loan from RB Leipzig,” Fulham stated on Wednesday.

“A 22-year-old forward who is comfortable operating anywhere along the frontline, Lookman will remain at Craven Cottage for the duration of the 2020/21 season.”

The former Everton player said he was pleased to be joining promoted Fulham, who have lost all three of their Premier League games this season.

Lookman told FFCtv: “I’m glad to have it over the line and done now. I’m glad I can be here to help the team.

“After the conversations I had with Scott Parker, I got a great feeling, that’s the working relationship I want to have. He’s young and hungry and I’m young and hungry as well so it’s a good match.”

Lookman, who made his breakthrough at lower league Charlton Athletic before making the step up to Everton in 2017, is eligible for Nigeria although he played for England in their successful 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
