SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen joined his teammates in the evening training session at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City after his arrival on Wednesday.
The Napoli striker was the main player being expected as at Wednesday afternoon, but by the evening session all the invited players were available.
The 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer, who has scored three goals in this qualifying series, was seen at the training session looking sharp and ready for action.
The Eagles host the Leone Stars in the Edo State capital city on Friday in their third 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match after wins over Republic of Benin and Lesotho.
Also on Wednesday, Sierra Leone’s contingent of 43, made up of players and officials, landed in Lagos and headed to Benin.
The Sierra Leoneans flew in aboard an ASKY Airline plane from Freetown and took a chartered flight to Benin.
The Leone Stars are desperate for points against the Super Eagles, having garnered only one point from their first two matches in the group.
A win for the Super Eagles on Friday and another victory next Tuesday in Freetown would seal Nigeria’s passage to Cameroon 2022 and effectively end Sierra Leone’s ambitions.
