Napoli, the club of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, have had the one point deducted from them reinstated following an appeal.
They won their appeal against the defeat to Juventus, so the game will have to be played and the point penalty is revoked, Football Italia reported on Tuesday.
Napoli had been punished by the Italian FA for not turning up for the 4 October fixture in Turin, forcing the fixture to be abandoned.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side were handed an automatic 3-0 defeat and docked one point, but they argued that local health authorities in Naples stopped them from travelling after two of their players, Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas, tested positive for COVID-19.
The match was scheduled just days after Napoli had played Genoa, who afterwards reported over a dozen positive coronavirus cases.
However, Serie A organisers ruled that Napoli had flouted agreed COVID-19 protocols, and did not do enough to participate in the match.
After two previous appeals by Napoli were rejected, they took their case to the CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) Sports Guarantee Board, who ruled in their favour.
The Serie A table has subsequently been automatically transformed, as Juventus drop from 27 points to 24, while Napoli climb to 24.
