The detective analytics-based mobile system primarily does two things: identifies an actor, and traces its networks. Firstly, it uses a censor and connect concurrently with databases, which enables an agent to identify and follow an actor (a stolen car). It is accurate at nanosecond and removes any confusing dictum about identical actors.
PRIVATE companies and government institutions including individuals, lost millions of currencies to criminal activities on an annual basis. Worst, children and women are increasingly dehumanised and murdered in many quarters of the continent. Some of the perpetrators serialise the horrendous deeds perhaps because they have moles and protectors within the structure of law enforcements.
Some law enforcement agents, to be more specific, police and car hijackers including other crime-thirsty individuals begin their despicable relationship by being in violent agreement and chase each other on the streets. Thereafter, the former testifies against the latter in the courts of law; subsequently, they establish each other’s affiliation and lineage, and they wink and shake hands in the dark, often without witness. That seems to be their modus operadi? Even though we cannot overly generalise, it is a fact that has been empirically proven many times.
Of course, there are noble and highly professional men and women who put their duties first before themselves, to keep us safe and hopeful. But the notorious police officers and criminals are cousins, and shareholders in the things that they together impassively or contractually do.
We will continue to work harder and smarter to permanently separate the dreadful alliance between the two cousins, using our technological know-how.
We have a sophisticated mobile system to share with the cousins. We opted for the gleeful and impudence to do so publicly, rather than a desolate, timid or quiet approach, to offer the system to the legitimate cousin. We do so in the affirmation that we are well aware that the nuance of the system will be illegally legitimised with the underworld cousin, anyway.
It is a mobile system that is based on detective analytics, an emerging tool, which combines predictive analytics and prescriptive analytics. The tool focuses on diagnostics on big data, to significantly improve both the predictive and prescriptive analytics functionalities.

Secondly, once an actor is identified, the system enables construction of traces of its networks and activities, which therefore links it to previous episodes, if any. This means that an agent can identify (pick) a stolen car from a distance – the car registration is not an identifier, and alteration on the engine serials is insignificant.
The system intuitively enables and allows agent to upload actor’s encrypted big data into a central database for access from multiple locations and facilities at real-time. Once an actor is sensed or identified, validation is automatically conducted against millions of crimes that are registered in the databases. Through the traces, the dots are connected, highlighted, and the patterns are established. Can the other cousins infiltrate or by-pass the system? No, at least not for now! The system elevates search and investigation on stolen cars to a nonpareil level.
The mobile system is not only for the two cousins; it can be used in financial institutions, health and education facilities including retail stores. It requires customisation that is shaped and defined by both technology and business requirements. In health facilities, the system can be used as a facial recognition, identification of patients and visitors, and match them against previous criminal activities or networks.
In education or retail store, as a crime suspect walks into the premises, he or she is identified based on the individual’s images, videos, bio-data stored in the databases from past incidents. The insurance companies will love and hate it, in the advent of increasing premium on stolen cars.
Other benefits of the system are that it facilitates transparency in law enforcement entanglement with criminal suspects and enables quicker response time. Instantaneously, it detects suspects, and alert the relevant law enforcement authorities. It links the suspects with previous activities and provides evidence. The system is automated and instantly connects to a crime engine, which streamlines an actor’s big data and validates them against preceding crimes or suspected criminal cases and networks.
I hear that the South African transport and traffic departments are exploring the possibilities of implementing a similar software. I can only wonder aloud about the type of orthodox vibes that is currently going on among those characters in the Cape flats of Good Hope, Soweto in Jozi, and the homeland of Umlazi in Kwazulu-Natal. “Eish! Abahlakaniphile beze ngombono omusha”, Zulu saying for “the clever ones have come up with a new approach”. I am sure confident that the system itself will not be stolen.
This detective analytics-based mobile system is a product of the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), which leverage on assets’ protection and recovery, societal safety, and quicker crime investigative response.
