EDO: Imuekemhe, Ex- SSG, dies at 66

A FORMER Secretary to the  State Government (SSG), Dr. Simon Imuekemhe, is dead.

Imuekemhe, who also served as Head of Service (HOS) in Edo State,  reportedly died of an undisclosed illness in the wee hours of Thursday at the age of 66.

The University of Ibadan-trained medical doctor hailed from  Ikabigbo community, in Etsako West local government area.

The deceased had a track records of service in Edo State; starting particularly since the return of the country to civilian rule in 1999.

He  served as Permanent Sectary, Government House, during the administration of Chief Lucky Igbinedion.

Imuekemhe also  served as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), during the administration of former governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

He was also a one-time Chairman of Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS).

The late medical doctor was the immediate past chairman, Edo State Local Government Service Commission.
