NIGER: Govt secures release of passengers abducted from NSTA bus last week

THE state government has said it has secured the release of all the passengers abducted from the Niger State Transit Authority bus.

This was confirmed on Twitter by the Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello:

“The Niger State Government has succeeded in securing the release of all Abducted #RescueNSTAPassengers. Details shortly,” the governor said on his official Twitter handle.

This is coming exactly a week and a day after the abduction of the 18 passengers which happened at 3.pm along Minna-Zungeru road while coming back  from a wedding at Rijau, in Rijau Local Government Area of the State.

The kidnappers were said to have spared a woman with her child for a reason best known to them.
