NIGERIA forward Henry Onyekuru has continued to enjoy his third spell at Galatasaray, firing the Turkish giants to victory again on Saturday night.
The Super Eagles star found his way back to Galatasaray on loan from Monaco during the mid-season window and has been in sensational form.
He further underlined his importance to the club by coming off the bench to score twice in the 3-0 Turkish Super Lig win at Kayserispor to keep Galatasaray in touch with Besiktas in the title race.
The former Anderlecht forward replaced Emre Akbaba in the 68th minute and completed his brace within 21 minutes.
Onyekuru struck in the 81st and 89th minutes to seal the big win after Radamel Falcao had opened the scoring just before half-time.
The 23-year-old winger, who is on the standby list for Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho later in March, has now contributed five goals and two assists in just nine Super Lig appearances for Galatasaray since his return.
His compatriot Oghenekaro Etebo, who is in the full squad for the AFCON qualifiers, was a late substitute for Galatasaray, replacing Emre Kilinc in the 82nd minute.
The win kept Galatasaray in second place in the Turkish top flight table with 61 points from 29 matches, two points behind leaders Besiktas.
