Aisha Buhari returns after six months in Dubai

AFTER spending six months in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, First Lady Aisha Buhari has returned home.

Mrs Buhari reportedly returned to the country last night, according to Daily Trust.

The first lady moved to Dubai last year following the wedding of her daughter Hanan in September.

It was not immediately clear if her return was permanent, but it was gathered that a book written in her honour will be launched in a few weeks’ time.

When contacted over the return of the first lady, her spokesman Aliyu Abdullahi said: “I don’t know anything about that.”

Last December, one of the first lady’s aides Kabiru Dodo said her trip was for medical reasons, but did not disclose the location.

“The first lady travelled for her medical trip, she did not flee the country because of insecurity. What people are saying is baseless and worth nothing to be considered,” he said.

“I want to tell the whole world that I do speak to her daily and she is ready to return to the country as soon as she is done with the medical treatment abroad.”
