IMO: Okorocha congratulates Ararume on victory at court

A FORMER governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, has congratulated Senator Ifeanyi Ararume on his confirmation as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the winner of the Imo North Senatorial bye- election.

Okorocha, who is currently represents Imo West Senatorial District at the upper legislative chamber, congratulated Ararume following the confirmation by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Sam Onwuemeodo.

According to the statement, Okorocha described the confirmation of Ararume as Imo North Senator as a “wonderful development”

He said ” With Senator Araraume in the Senate, lmo state would now have two Senators of APC extraction in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, out of the three Senators from the State. And to all intents and purposes, that is a very wonderful development.

“Senator Araraume having served in the Senate for two terms before now, would now be expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear and for the good of the people of Imo North Senatorial District in particular, Imo people and Nigerians in general.

“Okorocha commended those who stood by Ararume while the legal tussle lasted and urged the senator to be a lawmaker for all regardless of party affiliation.

“Senator Okorocha also commended the APC members in Imo North Senatorial District, who had worked hard to ensure that the party won at the Poll. He equally commended the Chairman of APC in the State, Mr. Daniel Nwafor and members of his EXCO for their support for Senator Araraume.

“He urged Senator Araraume to carry everybody in his Senatorial District along, not minding the Political Parties or political camps they all belong.” he said.

Okorocha commended the Judiciary for always proving that, it remains the last hope of the common man.
