THE Lagos State Sports Commission has stated that movement will be restricted around the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere before, during and after Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles and Lesotho.

The commission’s Executive Chairman Sola Aiyepeku clarified that there will be partial restrictions of vehicular movements in and around the match venue on Tuesday from 10am to 10pm.

The match will kick off at 5pm and end around 7pm.Aiyepeku explained that only vehicles with VVIP stickers or tickets can be allowed to approach the National Stadium and the Teslim Balogun Stadium to park.

The two stadiums are directly across from each other, seperated by Funsho Williams Avenue.

“Only cars containing passengers with tickets can approach and enter National Stadium to park. Also, pedestrians without tickets will not be allowed to come close to either of the two stadia,” he said.

The sports commission is also offering 500 free tickets to Lagos residents for the match.Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only a few hundred spectators will be allowed into the stadium during the match.

The Confederation of African Football has given Nigeria special permission to admit fans for the match.

The Super Eagles have already qualified for next year’s AFCON while Lesotho have been eliminated from the race and are just playing to complete their fixture schedule.
