THEMED cultural extravaganza, “Ayinla” the movie premiered on the night of Sunday,June 14 and it was a carnivalesque atmosphere with lavish display of cultural and traditional ideas and actions.
Produced and directed by Tunde Kelani, the movie itself was a celebration of the genius of one of Nigeria’s most influential musical artistes, who decades after his death, remains glued in pubic consciousness through the socially relevant ideas he espoused in his vast-volume songs and the feel-good music he created.
The premiere was a perfect opportunity for celebrities to showcase their rich culture through well-crafted ensembles.
Creativity was at its peak, hottest hues and fits spiced up the red capet. Celebrities were excited to show us a great interpretation of the theme.
Osas Ighodaro who rocked Weizdhumfranklyn black dress with ankara details and Akah Anani who never thought re-rocking his traditional wedding attire would win them N500, 000 each for the best dressed in both male and female categories courtesy FirstBank Nigeria, the official sponsor of the event.
Kiekies was spotted in a glamorous yet structured asooke dress designed by Accostcollection.
Anto Lecky also glowed in the remarkable Bendel cutural attire. Her outfit, which was designed by EmagibebyBukola looked to merge her traditional roots with the modern styles of fashion. Anto perfectly complemented the culturally inspired dress, made from Akwa Ocha fabric from Delta North with well-decorated staff from Akwa Cross region and a fabulous beaded headgear.
Oluwatosin Ogundadegbe appeared in a glamorous pink damask Agbada enhance with well cutural detailed accessories and a matching cap.
Yet another captivating red carpet glam was the flaboyant and irresistible outfit worn by Omowunmi Dada to the event; we couldnt get enough of such classy look.
Other celebrities present were Adesua Etomi, Debo Adebayo (Mr Macaroni), Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, Adedimeji Lateef, Femi Branch, Official Arole, Omowunmi Dada, Etim Effiong, Adebola and Kehinde Williams, Bimbo Ademoye and Kunle Afolayan to mention a few.
