EDO: UNIBEN lecturer shot dead

UNKNOWN gunmen has shot dead a lecturer with the University of Benin in Benin City.

Maxwell Eseosa Aimuen, 33, a lecturer in the department of public administration, was killed on Saturday, at his home entrance in Isihor while he was driving into his compound.

It was gathered that his assailants shot him severally before fleeing the scene.

The deceased was engaged in the institution in 2015 as a Graduate Assistant.

He was said to have rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The public relations officer of the university, Benedicta Ehanire, described the late Maxwell as hardworking and dedicated university staff.
