Osimhen hits brace as Napoli smash Bayern, Iheanacho scores, Balogun wins with Rangers

SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen made the big difference on Saturday during Napoli’s friendly match against Bayern Munich.

The Nigerian international scored twice in the second half to steer Napoli to a 3-0 win over the German champions at the Allianz Arena.

Osimhen continued his fine pre-season form, opening the scoring in the 69th minute with a right-footed strike across the Bayern Munich goalkeeper from the edge of the box.

He doubled his and his side’s tally two minutes later, firing home from close range after finding space inside Bayern’s box.

Zinedine Machach rounded off the scoring with Napoli’s third goal in the 85th minute at the visitors stunned the Bundesliga giants.

Osimhen played for 81 minutes before he was replaced by Gennaro Tutino.

In another friendly involving another Super Eagles forward on Saturday, Kelechi Iheanacho scored a late goal to rescue a 3-3 draw for Leicester City at Championship club Queens Park Rangers.

Leicester City came back from 2-0 down to 2-2, but QPR went ahead again before Iheanacho intervened with a penalty in the 89th minute.

In Scotland, Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun played full-time as Rangers opened their Scottish Premiership defence with a 3-0 home win over Livingston.

Nigeria midfielder Joe Aribo played for 64 minutes before he was taken off for John Lundstram.
