IGP orders immediate suspension of Abba Kyari

FOLLOWING the various revelations about his relationship with men with criminal profiles, especially Lanre Abass aka Hushpuppy, DCP Abba Kyari, has been recommended for immediate suspension from the Police by the Inspector-General, IGP Usman Alkali Baba.

This is pending the outcome of an ongoing internal investigation on his activities in relation to the criminal activities of the fraud kingpin, who in a recent plea bargaining, detailed how he had wired money to Kyari to help arrest and detain an associate.

Hushpuppy is currently being held in the US, and has made statements implicating a lot of people, including Kyari.

The United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation had in a 69-page report, fingered Kyari as having been involved with the celebrated case of Hushpuppy. Though he has denied being involved with the criminal activities, the media is awash with reports of his various cavorting with men of questionable characters.
