SUSPECTED fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) are currently attacking a remote village in the southern part of the state.
According to Daily Trust, the insurgents stormed Shallangba near Debiro in the Hawul Local Government Area of the state on utility vehicles, shooting sporadically as villagers fled into the bush.
Details of the attack is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
On Sunday evening, insurgents had invaded Debiro communities which share boundaries with Biu and Hawul local government areas of Borno.
