FAMOUS English singer and pianist, Sir Elton John is turning 75 today, March 25, 2022. The singer who was born in the 1940s is determined to give back to the industry that has given him so much.
To mark his birthday, Sir Elton John would be releasing the album Diamonds: The Ultimate Greatest Hits’ on streaming platforms mixed in Dolby Atmos for the first time.
According to Evening Standard, he said, “I’m not usually one to look back or get nostalgic, but 75 is such a milestone birthday. I’ll definitely find time today to take stock and thank my lucky stars for my wonderful family, friends and career.”
“Being back on the road is a blast and the thrill of playing live is as amazing as it was 50 years ago. I have so much to pass on to the new generation of fans and artists alike, and I’m determined to keep giving back to the industry that has given me so much.”
Sir Elton John has a pop music career spanning more than five decades and has sold more than 300 million records worldwide. He has a charity foundation named the Elton John Aids Foundation which he launched in 1992 with the mission to end the AIDS epidemic.
He also has a long history with the royal family and has worked with Prince Harry on Aids causes continuing Diana’s legacy in recent years. He was also a guest when Prince William married Kate and performed at the lunchtime reception when Harry tied the knot with Meghan.
He was made a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour by the Prince of Wales during a Windsor Castle investiture ceremony in November 2021.
