‘Everything in Nigeria is bad, its depressing’ – Alex Unusual

ACTRESS, model and social media influencer, Alexandra Asogwa, aka Alex Unusual, has shared her thoughts on the state of the country.

In a recent interview, the former Big Brother Naija contestant said, “Everything is bad. I don’t even want to go into Nigeria’s problems right now. It could be depressing.”

Advising young Nigerians to tap into their entrepreneurial sides, she said, “I would encourage them to go into business and start up something for themselves. Irrespective of what happens, they should not give up. At this point, I really don’t know what advice to give.”

On the things she looks out for before endorsing a brand, she said, “I like brands that are not controversial. I also don’t like brands that like to change one from who one is. I like brands that pay one what one is really worth.”

Alex Unusual also urged fans to be more understanding of celebrities.

She said, “I really don’t want to say ‘know your place as a fan’. We are all humans’, and I could be anybody’s fan tomorrow. However, fans need to take it easy with celebrities. It is like one person listening to one thousand people. One person cannot do what one thousand people think she should do. One person cannot something the way one thousand people would do it, except the person has to do one thing one thousand times.”

Asked if she had ever been under pressure from fans, she said, “I was under that pressure for about a month after I came out of Big Brother’s house. Since then, I am one to always stand by my words. I know what I want.”
