AMERICAN rapper, Rakim Mayers popularly known as ASAP Rocky has been arrested for a November 2021 assault with a deadly weapon.
He was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
According to US Weekly, a high ranking Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) official, the arrest took place just after he landed aboard a private jet from Barbados. He went on vacation with Barbadian music star, Rihanna with whom he is expecting a child with.
According to a release from the LAPD, the alleged shooting took place in the Hollywood area after an escalated argument between two acquaintances. The gunshot victim sustained a minor injury from the shooting and later sought his medical treatment.
Rocky has been convicted in another assault back in 2019 at Stockholm, Sweden. He was involved in a street fight and had to pay a fine to the victim.
