LAGOS: Sanwo-Olu charges residents on loyalty to leaders, state

GOVERNOR Babajide Sanwo-Olu has charged residents of the state to be loyal and obedient to the state, the country and its leaders.

Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the deputy governor, Dr. Kadir Obafemi Hamzat at the first family of the state year 2022 Eidul-Adha celebration on Monday, stated that patience, obedience and loyalty are important duties to the state and leaders which the citizens must perform.

According to him, parents must train their wards in a godly manner and instill in them morals in order to be obedient, loyal and patient.

On her part, the first Lady of state, Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, noted that the annual spiritual exercise being marked exemplifies the virtue of love faith and obedience.

Ibijoke underscored the importance of peaceful coexistence noting that the state is growing in bounds because of the peaceful co-existence of the various faiths in the state.

She encouraged people to pray for the peace of the country,live with the fear of God and love one another, adding that love virtues must reflect in relationships with people.

She advised parents to lead their children by example and teach them absolute faith and fear of God.
