My baby daddy broke my heart – Singer JLover

FAST-rising Nigerian singer Joy Obianuju Ikade better known as JLover has revealed how she pulled off a heavy heartbreak she suffered about five years ago.

According to the Delta State born, that particular incidence left her single, however she is ready to give her heart a chance to love again.

“I’m not in any relationship at the moment. I am single and ready to mingle with the right guy for me; a man that can fight and stand by me. A man that loves God. He should also be ready to support my dreams. I don’t care about his financial buoyant, so far he can work, support and bring food to the table.
I had been heartbroken but I dealt with it through music. I also listened to some motivational speakers. I have a son from that same relationship. I was regretting it all at first but now I really do love him. He’s my Super Hero. I don’t always want to talk about my past because it hurts,” she said in a recent interview.

Jlover who is set to drop her long awaited Extended Play (EP) also shared some lessons she has learned as an entertainer since she ventured into the industry.

“I’ve learned to stay focused no matter what and keep pushing it, listening to others ideas. I try as much as possible to not complain. Be early on time, in my race and be flexible
As a woman in music, it can be hard to speak up or respond to unprofessional actions. Just like in every other industry, there are nice people and not so nice people. There are generous people and selfish people. I have had experiences that have run the gamut. I decided that I was going to be very discerning about who I worked with. I was going to work only with people who respected me and whom I respected, and I was going to make sure that the business understanding was always clear when we began work. Yes, I have had many negative experiences with people.”
