RENOWNED columnist, Sam Omatseye, has alleged threats to his life by suspected supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over a scathing article he wrote about him.
Omatsaye had on Monday written an opinion piece titled “Obi-tuary” and published in The Nation Newspaper.
The piece, however, attracted condemnation by Obi’s supporters also known as OBIDIENT and YUSUFUL on social media platforms.
Disclosing the threats via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Omatseye said unknown people suspected to be supporters of Obi had been calling and issuing death threats to him.
The columnist, therefore, urged the former Anambra State governor to call his supporters to order, warning that he would be held responsible if anything happens to him.
“Mr. Peter Obi, call your supporters to order. They are calling and issuing death threats. If anything happens to me, you will be held responsible!” he tweeted.
