Twenty top basketball teams will compete at the 2022 Sam Oguche Bullet Basketball Championship, according to the organisers.
The tournament will be held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Lagos from November 1 to November 6.
The competition will feature men’s and women’s teams from across Nigeria and Togo, the organisers added.
Some of the invited clubs include Ebun Comets, MO Heat, Raptors, First Bank, MFM and Sunshine Angels.
The brains behind the competition, former Nigeria international guard, Sam Oguche, noted that the idea of the championship is to complement what the Nigeria Basketball Federation is doing and also to give back to the country’s basketball players and teams.
Oguche explained that his organisation decided to expand the competition to other countries in West Africa in order to further entrench the championship in the hearts of major basketball stakeholders.
“I am delighted once again to expand the next edition of the championship to more teams,” the former Islanders Basketball Club star said.
The organisers promised a hitch-free championship and attractive prizes for teams and players.
