IMSU pulls out of ASUU strike

THE Imo State University, Owerri has announced that it has pulled out of the six-month-old strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The university asked its students and staff members to resume on Tuesday, September 20.

The Public Relations Officer of the varsity, Ralph Njoku, confirmed this today, saying the management decided to pull out of the lingering strike in the interest of the students and staff of the institution.

Njoku said: “The management has just decided to ask students to resume immediately. Lectures start on Tuesday. We are doing this in the best interest of our students and staff. We are not only pulling out of the ASUU strike but also asking everyone to return to school, we have asked students to resume immediately.”
