THE Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi will today marry another wife Temitope Adesegun, the palace has said.
His wife-to-be is an Ijebu princess, the Ooni’s spokesperson Moses Olafare said in a Facebook post yesterday.
“Olori Temitope Adesegun Ogunwusi an Ijebu Princess cum Ile-Ife Queen. Tomorrow is the D-day,” he wrote.
The wedding comes just four days after the Ooni married the founder of African Fashion Week, Ronke Ademiluyi, who is the great-granddaughter of the 48th Ooni of Ife, late Oba Ajagun Ademiluyi.
The Ooni has in the past month and a few weeks been on a wedding spree.
Oba Ogunwusi has married five women since his marriage to Naomi Silekunola failed in December 2021.
The first-class king married Mariam on September 6, 2022; Elizabeth; Tobi Phillips on October 9, 2022; Ashley on October 14, 2022; and Aderonke on October 20, 2022.
