An opportunity presents itself to train more peace advocates in West and central Africa. Titled Rotary Positive Peace Activator Training Program: West & Central Africa Cohort. Information on the program and application forms for interested Rotarians and Peace fellows (Now Alumni) in the West and Central African region can be found in below. Please note that there is a narrow window available for submission of applications (i am sorry about this).
- Applications open October 24, 2022 and will be accepted until November 11, 2022.
- Selected applicants will be notified by December 15, 2022.
- The West & Central Africa Positive Peace Activator Cohort training will take place in Lagos, Nigeria April 1, 2, and 3, 2023.
Rotary International will cover costs for round-trip airfare to Lagos, Nigeria, local accommodation, and meals for selected Activators for the dates of the West & Central Africa Cohort training. Local ground transport will be the responsibility of Activators.

This opportunity is open to individuals committed to peacebuilding and based or doing significant work (living, working, or studying) in the West and Central Africa region. Training will be conducted in both English and French. Eligible countries included in the West & Central Africa cohort: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde (Cabo Verde), Chad, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, The Central African Republic, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, The Gambia, The Republic of the Congo, and Togo.
