Get me Osimhen in January, Real Madrid boss Ancelotti begs Perez

Victor Osimhen could be headed to Spain to join Real Madrid in January if Carlo Ancelotti gets his wish.

Spanish outlet ‘Sport’ reported today that the Real Madrid manager is keen on bolstering his squad with the in-form Super Eagles striker.

Osimhen is one of the world’s most coveted strikers at the moment, and Real Madrid are the latest European giants to be linked with him.

Sport claimed that Ancelotti has appealed to Real Madrid president Florentine Perez to do everything possible to acquire the services of Osimhen.

The Nigeria international has reiterated several times that he is happy with Napoli, but Real Madrid are an attractive prospect for any player in the world.

The UEFA Champions League holders have struggled in recent weeks without their talismanic striker Karim Benzema, who has been battling with fitness issues.

Ancelotti is reportedly desperate to get a world-class striker to complement the Frenchman, and Osimhen is his first choice.

The Italian coach is also said to be interested in AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, but Osimhen is his priority.

The 23-year-old Nigeria international has been in fine form this season, scoring nine goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for Serie A table toppers Napoli.

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in September 2020 for €80 million and his current contract expires in 2025.

Napoli have repeatedly said Osimhen is not for sale, but it is believed that an offer of around €100m might tempt them.
