THE State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old woman, Esther Paul, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, one Sadiq Dahiru, to death.
Spokesperson of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known, yesterday, saying the suspect was arrest was same day after the victim’s step father, Kazeem Obafunso, reported the incident to Ilasan Police Division.
Hundeyin said the report of examination carried out on the 21-year old victim revealed that he was stabbed to death at about 1.00 a.m.
The PPRO added that a patrol team from the station was deployed to the scene at Oba Amusa Street, Agungi in Lekki area of the state.
He stated that Dahiru was rushed to Evercare Hospital Lekki, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
Hundeyin said the knife used by the suspect was recovered and the corpse deposited at IDH mortuary, Yaba, for preservation and autopsy.
He stated that preliminary investigation was ongoing, adding that the case would be moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
