THE operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), a unit of the State Police Command in the early hours of today, arrested a 22-year old street robber, who in company of another gang member, still at large, attacked a student and dispossessed him of all his valuables.
The victim who was said to have arrived Ojota from Abuja and was trekking home nearby at about 1:02am when the suspected robbers swooped on him. But thanks to the eagle-eyed RRS patrol officers around the scene.
According the spokesperson of the state command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, both attackers were pursued, and one was apprehended. He stated that efforts are ongoing to arrest the other.
