A member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Eric Dakogol, who represented the Qu’anpan North Constituency, has passed away.
The deceased was said to have passed away yesterday afternoon in Jos the state capital.
According to a family source who verified the news, the lawmaker became ill a few weeks before he passed away.
Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong, who was also in sorrow, stated that the deceased’s death, was a great loss to both his immediate family and the state as a whole because he was a true democrat and a representation of his people.
He said “Hon. Eric was selfless and committed to addressing challenges of his constituents both within and outside the Chambers of the House of Assembly and always sponsored and supported legislations that had direct impact on the lives of the citizens. “
