PRESIDENT, Muhammadu Buhari has sent congratulatory messages to Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma as he celebrates his 83rd birthday tomorrow December 9, 2022.
Buhari’s birthday message was contained in a statement titled “President Buhari congratulates former Minister of Defense, Theophilus Danjuma at 83” signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
According to Adesina, “The President joins family members particularly his wife, Sen. Daisy Danjuma, in celebrating with the former Chief of Army Staff, 1975-1979, who served meritoriously in the military and has remained active in the private sector, providing employment for many, and sharing his experience with institutions and governments in shaping development policies.
“President Buhari extols the former Minister of Defence for his role in promoting democracy and democratic values in the country, and regularly counseling political leaders on the need to put the nation first, and work for the greater good of citizens.”
Buhari commended the former COAS’s for his generosity in establishing a foundation that helps the less fortunate and makes outstanding contributions to the health and educational sectors.
He then prayed for the safety of the military man and his family.
