Max Air CEO dies in Abuja

THE Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of frontline airline, Max Air, Bishir Barau Mangal is dead.

He reportedly died in Abuja in the early hours of Friday, age of 65 years at an undisclosed hospital.

The late Bashir is the younger brother of business mogul and Chairman of Max Air, Dahiru Bara’u Manga. He was buried at 5pm in Katsina according to Islamic rites. 

The news of his death was announced in a statement credited to the family made available by the media consultant to the airline. 

“Inna lillahi wa inna Ilaihi rajiun, this is to announce the death of our beloved brother Alhaji Bashir Barau Mangal Vice Chairman/ CEO Max Air in the early hours of today Friday, 23rd December 2022.

May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement read.

Bashir founded Max Air in 2008.
