THE Federal Road Safety Corps has revealed that four people have been confirmed dead in a deadly car accident that happened in Opa Community in the state’s Akure South Local Government Area along the Akure-Ondo route.
According to Ezekiel Sonallah, the corps’ Ondo Sector Commander, the crash happened around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
He stated that a green Nissan Almera with the license plate JTA279EJ and a silver color Toyota Corolla with the number plate RSH 196AX, both traveling from Akure to Ondo city, were involved in the collision.
He said, “The number of people involved is 11, four male adults, five female adults and two male children.
“Three female adults and one male adult died in the crash.”
He added that the deceased’s remains had been placed in the morgue and the injured had been transferred to the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Ondo.
The FRSC boss also added that the police had been given the victims’ luggage.
