CLUBS in England, Germany and Italy are interested in Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu, according to reports from across Europe.
After English Premier League strugglers Southampton had a bid rejected by KRC Genk for the Nigeria international, two sides from the German Bundesliga and Serie A have entered the frame.
The Saints reportedly offered €12 million for the prolific striker, which is believed to be well below Genk’s valuation.
The Belgian Pro League leaders are reportedly insisting on at least €20m before considering parting ways with their lethal hitman.
Eintracht Frankfurt and Salernitana are the latest to be interested in Onuachu, who has over the years proven his goal-scoring pedigree in Denmark and Belgium.
While Frankfurt are riding high in the Bundesliga in fourth place, five points off top spot, Salernitana are struggling in Italy.
Salernitana are 16th in Serie A, six points off the relegation places.
The Italians added Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong to their squad on Tuesday and are keen to boost the other end of the pitch with another Nigerian in Onuachu.
Eintracht Frankfurt are the holders of the UEFA Europa League after beating Rangers in the 2022 final, and are into the round of 16 of this season’s Champions League where they will face Victor Osimhen’s Napoli.
Onuachu, 28, is apparently in high demand because of his form, as the tall, gangly striker has scored 14 goals in 18 Belgian Pro League appearances this season and has consistently produced impressive numbers.
