NIGER: Gunmen kidnap woman, two daughters

GUNMEN kidnapped three people on Tuesday in Beji town, Bosso local government council, Niger state.

An investigation found that the gunmen arrived in town at one o’clock in the morning and began firing in the air for more than two hours to scare the residents before carrying out their heinous act.

The operation was carried out behind Beji General Hospital, which is just a short distance from the main town, without any interference from security forces or vigilantes.

The intruders kidnapped a woman and her two daughters from their home and took them to an unknown destination, while their male tenant, who was also kidnapped, escaped by the whiskers.

So far, there has been no contact between her family members and the kidnappers regarding ransom money.

The police have yet to make a statement on the matter.

Attempts to contact the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, were futile as of the time of this report.
