TARABA: LP dissociates from Gov candidate’s endorsement of PDP opponent

THE Taraba State Labour Party has distanced itself from its governorship candidate, Philip Munlip, for backing Kefas Agbu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The party’s state chairman, Esther Gulmu, described Munlip’s actions as mischief and blackmail for personal gain during a media briefing today.

According to the party, the governorship candidate’s actions are motivated by personal gain.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state announced today that it has rectified all of the concerns that had led to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) delisting its governorship candidate .

The Taraba APC Media and Publicity Secretary, Aaron Arthimas, stated that the way is now clear for the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, to run for office.

Legal squabbles had preceded the announcement of the party’s governorship candidate, but the party is confident that all of that is behind it as it aims to win on March 18.
