KADUNA: Police commits to arresting perpetrators of recent attack

THE police in Kaduna State have committed to apprehending and prosecuting the perpetrators of yesterday’s deadly attack which killed 17 people in the Ungwan Wakili community in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area.

Muhammad Jalige, a spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command who verified the incident, stated in a statement that the prompt intervention of joint security forces prevented the gunmen from carrying out further attacks on the community.

Jalige further stated that security personnel were on top of the matter and that all of the perpetrators will be apprehended.

According to officials, the trouble began in the neighborhood a few days ago when a boy rearing cattle was murdered.

“Repelling the hoodlums was a tedious task for our security agencies, but they were successful as the terrorists scampered away from the scene.”

“A joint security team will be combing the bushes in the area Sunday afternoon to search for bodies if there are any. They will also apprehend the suspects responsible for the killings.

“We are on top of the situation and all the hoodlums responsible would be rounded up,” the police stated.
