ENUGU: Gunmen abduct IMT student

A student at the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, Stanley Ogwo, has reportedly been abducted.

Stanley, the son of Godwin Ogwo, a Federal Radio of Nigeria radio broadcaster was abducted on his way to school from his Emene residence today.

When journalists called Ogwo to get confirmation of the occurrence, he revealed that his son is a National Diploma II student.

Although the specifics of his son’s kidnapping incident were still vague, the father insisted that the facts at hand indicated that his son was abducted in commercial bus as he was boarding it to go to school.

According to the personnel of Radio Nigeria Enugu, the bandits made contact with him via his son’s phone.

“They merely asked if we are ready to comply; I was confused and I switched off the phone,” he said.

Ogwo, however, noted that abductors were yet to make their demand.

“We’ve been talking with them and they have said they want money but have yet to name the amount,” he said.
