EDO: Gideon Ikhine quits PDP

FORMER Governorship aspirant, Engr Gideon Ikhine has quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Engr Ikhine made this known in a letter dated July 8, 2023, to the Ward 7 Chairman, Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area.

He, however, did not give any reason for his resignation.

“I wish to resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) effective today July 8, 2023,” the letter said.

“It has been a great honor to contribute to the growth and success of this party over the years, with People Democratic Party recording outstanding results from my Ward all through the 24 years of working with you.

“My commitment to the people of Ward 7, Esan-West Local Government and Edo people remains firm and resolute to keep serving them in other capacity.

“I would like to personally thank you for the privileges, opportunities, and leadership I enjoyed over the 24 years of my stewardship with you. I trust you will convey my deep gratitude to the party leadership of Ward 7, Esan-West LGA, Senatorial, State and National levels.”
