GOVERNOR Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has placed a 24-hour curfew on the Mangu Local Government Area (LGA) following a series of attacks that have resulted in the loss of lives and property.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s Director Of Press And Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the decision to impose the curfew was made following consultation with the state security council in order to restore law and order in the impacted communities.
Movement within the local government area has been prohibited until further notice, with the exception of security officers and those performing essential duties, and security agencies have been directed to enforce strict compliance with the order.
The governor also assured citizens of the security of lives and properties as well as the restoration of peace and security in the state.
