Celebrities honour veteran actor ‘Agbako’ at 100

NOLLYWOOD celebrities have been paying tribute to veteran actor, Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Agbako, as he clocked 100 years.

The legendary actor was active in Yoruba movies in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and, indeed part of the 2000s. He featured in Taxi Driver, Jagun, Amin Orun, Aiye, Jayesinmi, Soworo Ide, Igbo Dudu among many other popular films of the time.

In a recent video, the veteran actor is seen dancing energetically with his female colleague, Idowu Phillips (Mama Rainbow).  

“Unarguably, Baba should be the oldest and most agile Nigerian film actor at 100 years! @guinnessworldrecords, we are expecting your certificate, no need to write you ahead. What a special grace. Happy Birthday Once Again Charly Agbako. Your heart is filled with raw gold. Wishing you joy and good health sir”, Filmmaker and actor, Muyiwa Ademola eulogised the veteran in an Instagram post.

“A highly respected veteran is 100 today. This means a lot to us in the movie industry. May everything good not turn bad in your hands, Pa Charles Olumo”, Adebayo Salami popularly known as Oga Bello also wrote on Instagram.

Adeniyi Johnson, Femi Adebayo, Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), and Kunle Afod, among other Nollywood actors also showered the veteran with touching tributes.
