THE Plateau State Government has revised the 24-hour curfew it placed on Mangu Local Government Area which is now to be observed from 7 pm to 6 am.
According to a statement made by the director of press and public affairs, Bere Gyang, after reviewing the situation in the LGA, the State Security Council decided to relax the curfew.
The security council also considered allowing students take part in the current Junior Secondary School Certification examination (JSSCE) and National Examination Council (NECO) exams.
Movement inside the local government area will be prohibited between the hours of 7 pm and 6 am until further notice, as a result of the incident with the exception of security officers and those performing essential activities.
Security organizations have been ordered to ensure complete compliance of the curfew during the time period under consideration.
This is happening following recent attacks that resulted in the destruction of lives and property in the area on Sunday which led to the governor imposing a 24-hour curfew on the Mangu Local Government Area (LGA).
