Transfers: Everton ready to sell Alex Iwobi for right price

EVERTON will let go of Alex Iwobi if they get the right offer, according to reports in England.

The Super Eagles midfielder was one of the club’s best performers last season as they escaped relegation on the last day of the season.

The 27-year-old started all 38 Premier League fixtures for the Toffees, completing all but three of the games.

He was close to agreeing a new deal with Everton towards the end of last season but the talks were suspended as the club flirted with relegation to the Championship.

Now, according to Football Insider, Iwobi and Everton are yet to resume negotiations and the club are willing to sell him for what they feel is the right price.

Iwobi joined Everton from Arsenal in 2019 for around €30m and has made 138 appearances for the club, registering nine goals and 16 assists from midfield.

With one year left in his contract, Transfermarkt values Iwobi at €28m, and it remains to be seen if any interested club will offer that much for the Nigeria international.

Meanwhile, Iwobi is with his teammates in the Swiss Alps as they prepare for the new Premier League season, which kicks off in August.
