Report: PSG accept Al Hilal’s world record €300m bid for Mbappe

SAUDI Arabia Pro League club Al Hilal have made a huge bid to sign Kylian Mbappe, which Paris Saint-Germain have accepted, according to reports.

The biggest and most successful club in the oil-rich country, where many stars are trooping to from Europe for big paydays, have submitted a staggering bid of €300m for the France captain, according to Sky Sports and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

If the attempt is successful and Mbappe moves for that fee, it would break the world transfer record of €220m Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar in 2017.

Incidentally, PSG are at the receiving end of the record offer this time after falling out with their star forward.

Romano added that PSG have accepted the €300m bid but no talks have been held with Mbappe, who could reject the the move.

Al Hilal are willing to offer Mbappe world record wages even if he plays for them for just one season, Romano claimed.

Mbappe, 24, and PSG are at loggerheads over the forward’s intentions, with the club believing that the player is plotting a free transfer to Real Madrid next season.

The French champions are not ready to let Mbappe go for free next year at the expiration of his current contract and he was dropped from their pre-season tour of Japan and offers invited for him.

Al Hilal, the club of Nigeria international striker Odion Ighalo played for last season, reportedly made a €400m offer to Lionel Messi before the Argentina captain opted to leave PSG for Inter Miami in the United States of America’s Major League Soccer.

Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco in 2018 for €180m after completing a one-year loan spell. He has registered 212 goals and 98 assists in 260 appearances for the French moneybags.
