SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will be up against Real Madrid with his Napoli side following the UEFA Champions League group stage draw held today in Monaco, France.
Osimhen inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years last season, scoring 26 goals to emerge as Serie A’s top scorer.
Their quest to succeed in the Champions League will begin in the group phase, where they will face 14-time winners Real Madrid, Portugal’s Sporting Braga and German debutants Union Berlin, the former club of Taiwo Awoniyi.
In Group A, it will be a clash of heavyweights as English giants Manchester United drew perennial German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, with Denmark’s FC Copenhagen and Turkey’s Galatasaray as the supporting cast.
Holders Manchester City were handed a relatively straightforward route to the round of 16, with the Treble winners drawn in Group G alongside RB Leipzig of Germany, Serbia’s Crvena Zvezda, and Switzerland’s Young Boys.
Premier League runners-up from last season Arsenal are in Group B with Europa League winners Sevilla, Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven and French side RC Lens.
In a tough-looking Group F, Paris Saint-Germain are up against Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle United.
