NIGER: Govt declares three-day holiday for palliative distribution

GOVERNOR Mohammed Umar Bago has declared Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as public holidays for the distribution of palliatives across the state.

Bago said the holidays would enable the state to distribute over N5bn and other food items as palliatives to all wards across the 25 local government areas of the state.

Bago said this at a press briefing in Minna on Friday.

Bago said, “The government has declared three-day holidays from Wednesday to Friday next week to allow for the distribution of palliatives at the rural and local government levels.”
