BANDITS attacked Kwarikwarasa village in Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State during the weekend, killing two people while kidnapping six more.
It was believed that the criminals entered the neighborhood early on Saturday morning to carry out the attack.
Nasiru Idris, the state governor, visited the neighborhood and assured residents that steps have been taken to prevent a repeat of the occurrence.
He maintained that his government has provided the security agencies with all the support and cooperation needed to battle crime throughout the state.
“We will leave no stone unturned until we secure the state and make it a place where people will sleep with their two eyes closed, peacefully cultivate their farmlands, and go about their normal businesses without any fear,” the governor said.
