ODION Ighalo starred for Al Wehda last night as they defeated Damac FC 4-2 in their Saudi Arabia Professional League clash.
The Nigeria international scored a hat-trick to lead his new side to the victory as they moved up to mid table.
The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the 17th minute but the visitors equalised 19 minutes later.
Ighalo made sure his side went into the break in the lead as he converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time.
He completed his hat-trick seven minutes into the second half as Al Wehda climbed to seventh in the table with nine points from six matches, while Damac are third from bottom with three points.
The prolific 34-year-old joined Al Wehda on a free transfer in August after leaving Saudi Arabia’s most successful club Al Hilal at the end of last season.
Ighalo, who registered 43 goals and seven assists in 60 appearances for Al Hilal, has now netted four times in four games for his new club.
