THE Governor of Sokoto state, Ahmad Aliyu has sworn in the newly designated sole administrators in charge of the state’s 23 Local Government Areas.
The governor charged the sole administrators with being committed to their people and prioritizing the security and peace of their local governments by working with security agencies to find a long-term solution to the challenges of insecurity in some of the communities through regular security meetings.
Governor Aliyu also instructed the appointees to follow the procedures and norms that govern local government administration and to avoid any type of indiscipline or disregard for civil service operational guidelines.
He also charged them with ensuring that the welfare of their people is prioritized in the overall development and progress of their local government by implementing people-oriented projects and policies.
The governor also urged the sole administrators to make hard work, dedication to duty, and attention to the misery of their people the hallmarks of their tenure in order to significantly improve the lives of rural areas.
