SUPER Eagles of Nigeria stars William Troost-Ekong and Kelechi Iheanacho have promised that the team will bounce back from their AFCON 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final defeat to Cote d’Ivoire.

Troost-Ekong scored first for the Super Eagles last night in the final but Franck Kessie and Sebastian Haller netted for the Elephants as the hosts won 2-1 at a packed Alassane Outtara Stadium in Abijdan.

No words can justify the feeling of losing a final,” Troost-Ekong, who captained the side throughout the competition and was named Player of the Tournament, posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, tonight.

“I’m proud of our team, our nation, our spirit. Heads up, keep trying, we will soar again. Congratulations CIV!”
