KADUNA: Police neutralise two bandits, recover arms

TWO bandits have been neutralised by Operatives of the mobile police team recently deployed to Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

According to a statement issued by Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, police operatives responded to distress calls of a bandit attack on farmers on the outskirts of Kuriga village.

Upon arrival, security personnel engaged the bandits in a fierce shootout, killing two of them.

Two AK-47 weapons and 17 rounds of ammo were also recovered from the location by police during the gunfight with the criminals.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, received the report and commended the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Ali Dabigi, as well as his officers and men, for their quick response and successful intervention, which resulted in the capture of the two bandits.

The governor ordered soldiers and other security forces in the surrounding area to continue the pursuit of the criminal elements and guarantee their complete removal.
